Satani area
Satani Kenjoji Temple, located at the foot of Shokegoshi, is said to have been founded by the great Buddhist priest Saicho. Every year on the first Sunday of April, the temple holds the opening of the eleven-faced Kannon (Goddess of Mercy), designated as a tangible cultural property by the prefecture, which attracts a large crowd of people from all walks of life.
The cherry blossoms and autumn leaves are also beautiful, attracting many worshippers not only from the local area but also from all over the prefecture.

Board the community bus at the welfare center near Sue Town Hall (about 15 minutes) and get off at the Saya Kenshoji bus stop. Approximately 15 minutes by car from Sue Smart IC on the Kyushu Expressway. *The road width is narrow and it is difficult to separate. The parking lot is made of gravel.
