Yabegawa Bridge
The Yabegawa Bridge is a 517m long, 3-span continuous PC cable-stayed bridge spanning the Yabe River, a first class river within the Ariake Sea Coastal Highway. The bridge is located near the Ariake Sea, where a rich countryside landscape formed by reclamation of the Ariake Sea spreads out. 261 m between the main towers (length of the central span), which looks like an upside-down Y, is the largest PC cable-stayed bridge in Japan, and the gently curved bridge girder is a rare feature of the bridge, together with the main towers. The gentle curves of the bridge girders, together with the main towers, make it a rare bridge that is proud of its appearance.
