Yasaka Shrine
Ushitotenno Park, adjacent to Yasaka Shrine, is filled with approximately 100 cherry trees in full bloom in spring.
The park has a lawn area and playground equipment, as well as a walking trail leading to the banks of the Yamakuni River and barrier-free restrooms, making it a great spot for children and the elderly.
In addition, the "Tobera Festival" held every year on July 7 at Yasaka Shrine attracts visitors from outside the prefecture in search of "Tobera branches," which are said to prevent illness if hung over one's front door.
